Privacy Policy

Effective April 2, 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, what information Phonegentic handles and how we treat it. By using our product, you agree to this policy and to our Terms and Conditions.

Our commitment

We keep your information private. We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track your browsing session on our website. We respect your privacy and ask that you read these terms before using our product.

Website

We do not collect personal information through our marketing website simply because you visit it. Standard server or hosting logs (for example, IP address or request timestamps) may be created by infrastructure providers; we do not use those logs for advertising or to build a marketing profile.

Call recordings

The app may allow you to record calls. When recording starts, we announce that recording is in progress to all parties on the call, so everyone is informed. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws (including consent and recording rules) in your jurisdiction.

Call logs and phone numbers

Like other phone software, we maintain a log of calls and the phone numbers involved (for example, numbers you dial or that call you). This helps you see history and use the app as expected.

Transcripts

We may create a transcript of a call to support features you enable (for example, captions or assistance during the call). This is comparable to transcription features in other communications software.

How we use your data

We do not sell your data and we do not send it to marketing companies. We use the application to demonstrate capabilities to interested parties, to test features, and to prepare for our open-source release. If you have questions, you are welcome to review the source code for yourself where it is available.

Artificial intelligence

Any AI-powered features are disclosed before they are used (for example, in demos to interested parties or in the product UI where applicable), so users and participants can understand when AI is involved.

Service providers

If you connect third-party services (such as a SIP provider or an AI API), those providers process data according to their own policies. We encourage you to read their terms and privacy notices for services you enable.

Security and retention

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. Retention depends on how you use the product and your device; you may be able to delete local data within the app or on your system.

Children

Our product is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.

Personal Information

None of you information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes, this includes your phone number and any other information you provide to us. You can opt out of receiving marketing texts at any time by replying STOP to the text message, or you can opt out by visiting the SMS opt-out page.

Contact

For privacy-related questions, contact us using the channel published for Phonegentic support or on our GitHub repository.

Note for App Store users. This summary describes our practices in clear language. Features and data flows may vary by version and by settings you choose in the app. Apple is not responsible for this app or its content, except as described in Apple’s applicable terms.
